Quarter Blitz
Three players. One quarter. Twenty minutes.
Quarter Blitz is the shortest game we run. Instead of committing a Sunday to a lineup, you pick three players from the two teams on your screen right now, star one of them as captain, and find out how you did before the next commercial break is over.
It is built for the second screen. A primetime game generates five separate contests — one per quarter plus a halftime blitz covering the first two — so a single Thursday night is four or five entry points rather than one.
How it works
Choose a quarter, then pick exactly three players from the two teams playing — any mix of positions, no salary cap. Star one of the three as your captain and their score is multiplied by 1.5. Only the production inside that quarter counts: a receiver who goes off in the third is worth nothing to your Q1 card. Entries for Q2, Q3 and Q4 open when the preceding quarter ends and lock at the first snap of their own, so you can watch the game develop before you commit. When the quarter ends the contest scores and the top cards split the pool.

When it runs
Primetime games only — Thursday, Sunday and Monday nights through the regular season and playoffs. Five contests per game (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4, Halftime). Each locks at the start of its own quarter and settles minutes after the quarter ends.
A Q2 card on Thursday night
Q1 ends and the Q2 Blitz opens. The visiting quarterback has been throwing all night, so you take him plus the home team's lead back and a slot receiver, and you star the quarterback as captain.
In the second quarter your quarterback throws for 120 yards and a touchdown — 4.8 plus 4, so 8.8 points, multiplied by 1.5 for the captain star: 13.2. Your running back adds 40 rushing yards and a score (10 points). Your receiver catches two for 18 — a half point per catch plus 1.8 for the yards, so 2.8.
That is 26 points on the card, and the whole thing took twenty minutes from entry to result. The Q3 Blitz opens at halftime.
What makes Quarter Blitz different
- The entire contest — entry, lock, scoring, payout — fits inside one quarter of football.
- Only quarter-attributed stats count, so a card is about who is hot right now, not who has the best season.
- Late entry is a feature: Q2, Q3 and Q4 open after you have watched the game develop.
